Once again Liberty Fire & Safety’s WES range of Wireless Temporary Fire Detection, Alarm and Evacuation panels has been selected for use at EXPO2020, this time for the Morocco Pavilion.

The emphasis for this project was to have the units installed at an early stage of construction, so the units were installed at ground level as soon there were walls and a slab above to attached them to!

One of the advantages of the WES system is that it is incredibly easy to add or remove units to/from the network as the building grows and changes during the construction process.

No cables means no reconfiguration of the network software, no need for cable re-routing and no need for an engineer to visit site. Simply switch the new unit on and pair it to the Base Station at the press of a button and it is in the network.

As usual, commissioning, testing and on-site training were all carried out in one morning, leaving the pavilion fully protected and providing the earliest possible warning of the need to evacuate across the whole project.

What’s more, because the WES units are 100% reusable, the contractor can take them with him and use them on his next project once the permanent fire alarm system has been connected on site.
