Project: Royal Atlantis Resort (The Palm, Dubai)

The site HSE manager needed to install a temporary fire detection and alarm system during the fit out works at the large complex of six cojoined towers.

After carrying out a free site survey and discussing the details of the proposed WES system with the project management team, a total of 134 WES units were installed across the site to provide the level of protection and reliability demanded by such a large and iconic construction project.

The Delay Start Timer feature which allows a short amount of time to check if an activation is a genuine cause for site evacuation, was of particular interest to the customer. Using this feature, false alarms can be cancelled without site evacuation. The sheer size of this project meant that any unnecessary evacuation would have incurred large losses to the project.
